Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office: 116kW

This 116kW solar project was built on the rooftop of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in Paramus, New Jersey. It was built at no expense to Bergen County taxpayers. The solar electricity generation will be approximately 130,000 kilowatt hours each year.
Under the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Bergen County purchases the solar electricity from SunLight General Capital at a discounted price compared to its prior utility bill. Over a 15-year period, the county should achieve savings of at least $200,000 if utility prices continue increasing.
In addition, the clean, renewable energy produced is comparable to saving 2,500 tons of carbon dioxide over its life.
